About the Client
Hail! Impact is a nonprofit program at the University of Michigan that partners with student-athletes and nonprofits. They take tax-deductible donations in which 70% goes to nonprofits and 30% goes to the athletes. By being involved in the program, student-athletes get the opportunity to provide service to their community, while being given access to mentors who can help build their personal brand.

The Redesign
Working closely with one of the co-founders, Chin Weerappuli, our team of consultants at Reach Consulting Group evolved the website from a simple, text-heavy WordPress site to a comprehensive Webflow site. The website can be found here. Below are some of the highlights of our changes.
Increasing Donations
One of the core changes Chin wanted to make was clarifying what Hail! Impact does and how to donate. The fulfill this request, we wrote a concise statement of what Hail! Impact's mission is on the landing page, with a clear call to action button to donate directly under. There is also a short sentence above the button which explains that Hail! Impact is a 501(c)(3) organization to further clarify for the user what their money is going towards. In the month following the new site going live, we were informed that donations had increased around 20% from the previous month!
Succinct Overview
Contuining the notion of clarity, our group wanted to provide a quick overview of what the program does for nonprofits, student-athletes, and donors. To accomplish this, we provided short descriptions of who is involved in the program, what they do, and the impact of donations. Above each section, we included images of student-athletes completing service acts to show the effects of the donations in action.
Testimonials
To further show the effects of the program, we added a testimonials section which includes quotes from student-athletes and nonprofit employees. This section is meant to show the positive impact that Hail! Impact has on the community and the individuals involved. The quotes are accompanied by images of the individuals to provide a face to the words and make it known where donors' money is going.
